Introduction
Parenting is a responsibility that affects children’s future behaviour and personalities. Every parent has their own parenting style, there are different types of parenting, but here we will explain four types. Authoritative parenting, uninvolved parenting, authoritarian parenting and permissive parenting

Authoritarian parenting:
Authoritarian parenting is that in which parents want their children to follow their rules strictly. Parents who care aren’t concerned about their children’s feelings and emotions. They expect from their children that they obey their rules or restrictions without arguing with them. Children have no free will to make their decisions themselves. This type of parenting destroys their children’s personality and also decreases their confidence. Children are emotionally distant from their children.

Permissive parenting
Permissive parenting is a parenting style in which parents are very loving and friendly with their children, but they allow their children too much freedom. This freedom makes children innovative and gives them strong imaginative skills. This type of parenting grooms their personality and boosts their confidence level. But parents set very few limitations in their children’s lives, which can harm them. For instance, if there children make any mistake, instead of blaming them, they correct them in a soft tone

Authoritative parenting
Authoritative parenting is balanced parenting, where parents are responsive and demanding. They set necessary boundaries for their children. The boundaries protect them from harm and also keep them in limits. Children love their parents, and their parents love them too.

Uninvolved parenting
Uninvolved parenting is neglectful parenting, in which parents pay less attention to their children. They don’t care what their children want to do or are doing in their lives. They let their children face their own decisions; there is no bonding between parents and children. Their parents just fulfil their basic needs and are not concerned about their other life matters. Due to less attention, their children became aggressive and rebellious.

conclusion
Parenting styles play an important role in a child’s emotional, social, and behavioural development. Understanding the different types of parenting – authoritative, authoritarian, permissive, and uninvolved parenting can help parents reflect on their own approach. Among these, authoritative parenting is often considered the most balanced because it combines guidance with warmth and support.
